Welcome to St. Anne
Mission Statement
We, the Church of St. Anne, are a Catholic faith-filled community in Rostraver Township built with the love and dedication of farmers, miners and other hardworking people. We have progressed from those few pioneering parishioner worshiping at the Quonset hut to a rapidly growing parish family within the mid-Mon Valley. We are committed to ongoing faith formation, nurtured through the celebration of the word and sacraments. We will continue to follow Christ and to share his life and love, working to become a closer parish and community.
Join Our Family
A parishioner is simply defined as a member of a parish within a particular diocese. We invite and encourage you to become a member of our parish family. It’s easy to join. Please complete the online registration form, or download and print the form and return it to the parish office. For more information, please contact us.
Note: The online parish registration form only includes information for up to three children. If you have more children in your family, please consider using the paper form, or contact the parish office for additional help.
Sacraments at St. Anne
Parishioners of St. Anne can participate in all three sacraments of initiation–Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation–when they reach the appropriate age and/or have taken the appropriate prerequisite training courses. Parishioners can partake in the celebration of the Eucharist at every Mass, and can participate in the sacrament of Reconciliation Saturdays at 3:30 pm., or by appointment.
Parishioners of St. Anne can celebrate the sacrament of marriage in the church by contacting the parish office, and reception of Anointing of the Sick can be scheduled as well. Any parishioner interested in exploring vocations can do so through the Diocese of Greensburg.
Formation at St. Anne
St. Anne Parish offers child and adult on-going formation opportunities. School-age children in first through eighth grade can participate in classes which teach them about their faith and prepare them to received the sacraments. Younger children, ages 5 through 11, are invited to participate in Children’s Liturgy of the Word, an age-specific formation program offered during 11:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday. Non-Catholics who want to enter the church are invited to participate in the Rite of Christian Initiation (RCIA) program.
Parish Life at St. Anne
The Parish of St. Anne has an active and vibrant parish community. Parishioners can fill liturgical and music ministry roles, and a youth ministry program is available for high-school-aged teens. Parishioners also have the option to serve on either the Pastoral or Finance Councils, and join the Christian Mothers or Holy Name Society.
