Thank You – may seem so insignificant at times, but during the outbreak of the Coronavirus, a THANK YOU is in order for all those many individuals who are putting their lives on the line to assist us in so many ways – including, but not limited to, the medical teams, first responders, researchers looking for a cure, those individuals volunteering and donating their time to help, neighbors looking after one another, those making masks and other needed essentials, and those who continue stocking shelves so that food and other necessities are there for us when we go shopping. Thank You & God Bless You!

We thank the Community Foundation of Fayette County for the donation of three-ply masks to our Parish, as well as to other non-profit organizations located in or serving residents of Fayette, Greene, Washington and Westmoreland counties. Their generosity is appreciated.

SCAM CALLS/EMAILS/TEXT MESSAGES

We have become aware of parishioners who have been receiving phone calls, Emails or text messages pretending to be from clergy or individuals and requesting gift cards or cash be sent to them. If you receive any sort of message who is asking for money or goods, be sure to verify the identity of the person calling you. It is possible for someone to make a call or text message/Email appear to come from a number that you know even if it is coming from a totally different place. There is no way to prevent this activity but want to make you aware so that no one falls victim.

Dear Parishioners:

Our Church was broken into through the Parish Office doors and was burglarized. Checks as well as Cash were stolen. The best estimate of the timeframe for checks written for weekly contributions that were stolen is from November 28 through December 4 which may have come in the mail or brought to the Parish Office door. Deposits of all checks (except Catholic Charities) were completed so check with your bank on Monday, December 14, to see if your check has cleared. If not, please take the proper steps to secure your account. As the Parish Office was holding the checks for Catholic Charities to be taken up closer to Christmas, any Catholic Charities checks through our Angel Tree Program excluding those written in December are compromised. You are welcome to call the Parish Office for clarification.

Video cameras captured the incident and four separate videos from different areas surrounding the Church were recorded and turned over to the police. We thank the local law enforcement officers for their quick response in answering our emergency call, who are diligently looking at our video and circulating the contents to neighboring police departments. Immediately we contracted a local locksmith to provide more secured locks on all doors so entry is not easily accessed by any individual non-authorized to enter. Their prompt response is appreciated.
