DIOCESAN
LENTEN APPEAL, 2022:
Currently, we have received $50,989 for this year’s campaign. The Diocesan goal
for our Parish is $55,126. Any amount over and above is sent back to our Parish
to help with upcoming projects—painting the redwood trim on the Church, Parish
Office and Rectory, address the cracks in the parking lot and driveway,
upgrading the landscaping at the main entrance of the Church, replacing the
outside steps to the Conference Room, as well as replacing the two existing
doors facing the Route 201 (Rostraver Road) side of the Church.
THE
31 CLUB, sponsored
by Serra Club International, is offered to all men and women in all walks of
life and all ages. The Club is asking
for 31 individuals to choose the same date of every month to pray for
vocations, either through Mass attendance, praying at home or through Adoration
of the Blessed Sacrament. A member also prays for past, present and future
priests, and religious sisters, brothers and deacons. Anyone can join. The
calendar is in the elevator lobby for those to sign who wish to participate.
Prayer cards are also available.
CHOIR
PRACTICE: Choir
practice is held on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m.
Current members and those who have an interest in participating are
invited. Please Email Josie Merlino, jmerlino@dioceseofgreensburg.org, or call or text, 724-309-3471, for
more information.
CHILD
PROTECTION ACT--Because
of our support of the Child Protection Act, it is recommended that a parent
always accompany their child to the restroom downstairs in the Social Hall.
LITURGY
OF THE WORD FOR CHILDREN--During
the 11:00 a.m. Mass on Sundays, Liturgy of the Word for Children is held. A
liturgical experience about breaking open the Word of God for little people
ages 5-11, the children are gathered so they can be helped to better understand
the Word of God. They are sent in a group with their leaders before the
Readings and return to the congregation after the Creed. No sign-up is
necessary.
FUNERAL EULOGIES (Family Remarks)--Please select the Sacraments tab and select Funeral
Eulogies.
